2012 Muscadelle doux AOP
Muscadelle is planted in small quantities and made into a typical aperitif wine. The overripe, raisin-like berries yielded a high-quality must that stopped fermentation at 12.6% vol. and retained a wonderful honey-like residual sweetness. This was followed by ageing in barrique barrels, which gave the wine a bright cognac colour. The aroma is characterised by notes of dried apricots, in the taste there are nuances of almonds and caramel as well as a penetrating scent of honey and dried apricots, underlaid with vanilla-like wood notes. On the tongue opulent sweetness and splendid fruit, delicate vanilla wood notes.
